Hobart head coach Eric Schreiber has noted the emergence of several promising players during the offseason.
“Obviously Logan Peters and Max Pickett are big for us, but guys like Preston Perez have really stepped up,” Schreiber said. “Rio Casey is another one who’s bought into a selfless role.”
According to Schreiber, other players are also making their mark. “Ethan Abrego came on late last year and has kept improving. Then you have names like Bryce Tyler, Alex Tatum, Aiden Cash, Josh Diaz,” he said. “Montreal Jones is a linebacker who’s going to be a force inside. Miles White is only a sophomore but a really athletic kid who can play both ways.”
Schreiber highlighted that this depth is the result of hard work since last fall. “We’ve asked guys to take the next step, and they’ve done that,” he said. “We’re excited to see them on Friday nights.”
For player Logan Peters, this effort translates into making Hobart’s home field a challenging venue for opponents. “We want our home field to be hard for opponents,” he said. “That’s what Brickie football is about.”
