Hobart’s varsity baseball team enters the upcoming season aiming to build on a 15-12 campaign in 2025, when the Brickies finished 7-5 in Northwest Crossroads Conference play and placed third in the league standings.

The season took place during the spring of 2025 in Hobart, Indiana, where the Brickies compiled a 7-6 record at home and an 8-5 mark on the road.

Hobart scored 165 runs while allowing 158, showing resilience in a number of close contests. The Brickies opened the year with wins over Washington Township (7-2), River Forest (8-0), and Merrillville (11-0). In conference play, Hobart split series with Munster, Hanover Central, Highland, Kankakee Valley, and Lowell, including a dramatic 1-0 extra-inning victory over the Kougars. The team also recorded decisive wins against Hammond Morton (14-1), Hammond Central (14-2), and Whiting (12-1). Several games were tightly contested, including a high-scoring 17-16 victory over Morgan Township.

Hobart advanced into postseason play before its season ended with a loss to Valparaiso.

The Brickies are scheduled to open the 2026 season on the road against Merrillville on March 30 at 4:30 p.m., looking to contend for a conference title and make a deeper tournament run this spring.
