Hobart’s varsity softball team enters the upcoming season looking to improve on a 13-15 campaign in 2025, when the Brickies finished 1-10 in Northwest Crossroads Conference play and placed seventh in the league standings.
The season took place during the spring of 2025 in Hobart, Indiana, where the Brickies posted a 4-6 record at home, 5-8 on the road, and a strong 4-1 mark at neutral sites.
Hobart scored 219 runs while allowing 233, producing several explosive offensive performances despite the challenging schedule. The Brickies opened the season with a 10-7 win over Chesterton and later recorded decisive victories against Merrillville (21-3), Hammond Central (19-0), Pioneer (19-6), and Portage (15-11). The team also earned competitive wins over La Porte (6-5), Griffith (2-1 in eight innings), and Benton Central (12-1). Several contests were closely contested.
Late in the season, Hobart advanced in tournament play with a win over Portage before its run ended with a loss to Chesterton.
The Brickies are scheduled to open the 2026 season at home against Lincoln County on March 27 at 2 p.m., looking to climb the conference standings and build consistency this spring
