Hobart fell 64–56 to the Andrean Fighting 59ers in a varsity boys conference clash.
The Feb. 12 matchup at Andrean High School saw the Brickies battle but come up short against a balanced 59ers attack.
Hobart’s night was defined by swings of momentum. The Brickies managed just eight points in the opening quarter before erupting for 28 in the second, seizing energy and pulling the contest back into balance by halftime.
They kept the push alive with 20 more in the third, showing grit and keeping Andrean under pressure. But the Fighting 59ers answered with poise, tightening defensively and delivering 14 points in the final frame. Hobart, meanwhile, was shut out in the fourth, their rally stalling as Andrean closed strong to secure control in the decisive moments of the conference matchup.
The Brickies’ defeat ended a three‑game winning streak, dropping their record to 11‑7, while Andrean improved to 9‑11.
Up next, Hobart hosts Griffith in a non‑conference matchup Feb. 18.
The Brickies last faced the Panthers on Nov. 30, 2024, falling 85–61 in a non‑conference game at Griffith High School.
