Hobart High School’s boys basketball team is set to begin its 2025–26 season under the guidance of Head Coach Devon Key. The team aims to establish rhythm and confidence early in the season.
The Brickies will face Griffith on Saturday, November 29, at 7:00 p.m. CST at Hobart High School. This nonconference matchup offers Hobart an opportunity to assess its progress against a disciplined Griffith team known for strong defensive play and a fast-paced offense. According to Key, his team will focus on controlling the tempo, improving transition efficiency, and emphasizing defensive communication throughout the game. The season opener also provides a chance for younger players to gain valuable experience and contribute significantly to the team’s depth.
Key states that Hobart’s early-season priorities include ball movement, rebounding, and minimizing turnovers as they work on building their offensive identity. He adds that the Brickies will depend on energy, effort, and teamwork to maintain momentum into December.
Following this game, Hobart will continue its home stand by hosting South Central on Wednesday, December 3, at 7:00 p.m. CST.
