Hobart boys wrestling competes at IHSWCA 3A Team State

Hobart boys wrestling faced a demanding slate of competition Saturday at the IHSWCA Class 3A Team State Duals, squaring off with several of Indiana’s top programs during postseason action.

The tournament was held Jan. 10 at Franklin Community High School in Franklin, Indiana.

The Brickies opened with a 56–19 loss to Franklin Community before bouncing back with a 37–31 win over Decatur Central in the consolation bracket. Hobart later dropped a 36–34 decision to Roncalli and a 44–31 dual to New Haven while continuing through the placement rounds.

The 37–31 victory over Decatur Central was highlighted by key individual wins across the lineup that helped Hobart edge the Hawks in a tightly contested dual. The Brickies continued to compete in close matches throughout the day against ranked Class 3A opponents.

Up next, Hobart boys wrestling will compete at the IHSAA Sectional on Friday, Jan. 31, beginning at 8 a.m. at Portage High School.
