Hobart High School’s girls basketball team, the Brickies, faced a challenging game against Andrean High School’s 59ers, resulting in a 45-32 loss. The match was held on December 6 at Andrean High School.
According to reports from the game, the Brickies demonstrated strong defensive energy early on and focused on controlling rebounds while applying pressure on the perimeter. Despite staying competitive for much of the game, Hobart was unable to maintain their momentum as Andrean pulled away in the later stages. Key players for Hobart included Kurah Krucina, who led in scoring; Riley Weber, who contributed significantly with her rebounding skills; and Aalliah Otero, who was instrumental in creating defensive disruptions. Zaria Gildon played a crucial role in facilitating ball movement and playmaking against Andrean’s half-court pressure. Observers noted that Hobart displayed resilience and growth during this early-season matchup.
Looking ahead, Hobart High School is scheduled to play against Chesterton High School on December 23 at 7 p.m. In their last encounter on January 14 of the previous season, Chesterton secured a decisive victory with a score of 63-21.
