The Hobart Brickies are aiming to build on a promising start to the 2025 football season when they host the Munster Mustangs on Friday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. at Hobart High School. The Brickies opened the season with a strong showing, defeating Chesterton 20‑3 on Aug. 22, demonstrating both offensive balance and defensive toughness.
Quarterback Aleks Tatum led Hobart’s attack, rushing 65 yards on nine carries and adding a touchdown while also throwing for 165 yards and another score. Wide receiver Nathan Sobczynski contributed 80 receiving yards, giving the offense multiple weapons. On the other side of the ball, linebacker Terry Earvin was a key factor, recording 10 total tackles and helping to limit Chesterton’s running game to just two yards per carry.
Hobart’s early performance highlights a team looking to carry momentum into the next matchup. The Mustangs will provide a strong test for the Brickies, who aim to continue showing the discipline and composure that characterized their season opener.
With the season still young, Hobart’s players and coaching staff are focused on execution, limiting mistakes, and controlling the line of scrimmage. The Brickies hope their balance and preparation will translate into a decisive performance against Munster.
