Hobart High School’s wrestling team, known as the Brickies, secured third place with 213.5 points in a competitive 16-team Harvest Classic field.
The meet occurred on December 6 during regular-season invitational action.
According to the event results, the Brickies showcased several standout performances. Hayden Mancilla emerged victorious in the 165-pound category, contributing to Hobart’s three individual titles. Preston Perez claimed first place at 215 pounds, while Joshua Diaz took the championship in the 285-pound division. Aleksandar Tatum achieved a runner-up finish at 190 pounds, and Aiden Granger placed third at 175 pounds. In lower-weight categories, Julius Gutierrez finished fifth at 106 pounds, Blake Doering secured third at 120 pounds, and Jacoby Moore also earned third place at 138 pounds. Ian Kelly rounded out the medal winners for Hobart by securing seventh place at 144 pounds.
With four wrestlers reaching the finals and depth across their lineup, Hobart demonstrated its status as one of the top teams in the region.
Looking ahead, Hobart Boys Wrestling is set to host Andrean on December 17 at 6 p.m. at Hobart High School.
