Hobart opened Northwest Crossroads Conference play with authority Friday night, rolling to a 41-7 victory over Munster at The Brickyard. The win lifted the Brickies to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in league play.
The Brickies wasted little time seizing control, scoring on their opening drives and building a 35-0 lead by halftime. Behind a powerful offensive line, Hobart’s running game consistently moved the chains, while the passing attack added balance with timely completions that kept the Mustangs’ defense guessing. The offense finished with six touchdowns and more than 400 total yards.
Defensively, Hobart was sharp from start to finish. The front seven controlled the line of scrimmage, limiting Munster’s opportunities and forcing punts on repeated possessions. The secondary closed down passing lanes, helping to ensure that the Mustangs managed only one score late in the game.
Special teams also contributed, flipping field position and setting up short fields that Hobart’s offense quickly turned into points. Coaches praised the team’s focus and execution, noting the complementary effort across all phases.
With the convincing win, Hobart continues its unbeaten start and now looks ahead to another key conference matchup as it pushes toward the heart of the NCC schedule.
