Hobart High School’s boys’ soccer team secured a decisive 4-0 victory over Chesterton, with significant contributions from senior G. Rodriguez and sophomore goalkeeper Michael Klaich.
The game took place on Monday, September 29, at Hobart High School. Rodriguez delivered an outstanding performance by scoring all four goals for the Brickies. He initiated the scoring in the first half and added three more in the second half to secure the win. Junior Cameron Guess contributed to the offensive effort with two assists, as Hobart maintained control of possession and created opportunities through organized play.
According to observers, Klaich was instrumental on defense, making nine saves that thwarted several strong attempts from Chesterton, ensuring momentum remained with Hobart. Despite continued efforts from the Trojans, particularly after halftime when they increased their offensive pressure, Hobart’s defense remained steadfast to close out the match.
