Hobart secured a decisive victory over Kankakee Valley with a 43–6 win in a Class 4A state playoff matchup on Friday night. This triumph allows Hobart to advance to the next round of the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Football State Tournament, which is presented by the Indianapolis Colts.
The game occurred on October 31 at Kankakee Valley High School in Wheatfield, Indiana. Hobart dominated from the start, scoring 20 points in the first quarter and maintaining control throughout the match. The Brickies’ offense amassed 398 total yards, with 354 yards gained on the ground and an additional 44 through passing plays. Their defense effectively limited the Kougars to six points by forcing turnovers and restricting significant plays, securing a commanding postseason victory. This win enhances Hobart’s overall record and continues their strong playoff performance characterized by physicality and balance.
Hobart is set to face Lowell on November 7 in the upcoming round of the Class 4A state tournament.
Previously, before this postseason encounter, Hobart had also defeated Kankakee Valley.
