The Hobart boys’ soccer team concluded its postseason journey on Saturday afternoon, succumbing to a 5–1 defeat against Crown Point in the Class 3A sectional round of the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Boys Soccer State Tournament.
According to reports, the match took place on October 11, 2025, at Crown Point High School. The Bulldogs established an early lead and maintained control throughout the game.
Crown Point managed to score three goals in the first half, taking command of the match. They added two more goals after halftime, while Hobart fought back and scored late to avoid a shutout.
Hobart’s only goal came in the second half as they continued their efforts despite the deficit. Midfielders worked diligently to create opportunities, and goalkeeper Alex Ruiz made several key saves against a persistent Crown Point offense led by senior Brayden Kurtz and freshman Liam Bazin.
The loss marked the end of another competitive season for Hobart. The team showed steady improvement throughout the year, demonstrating strong chemistry and dedication that will serve them well as they look forward to building momentum next season.
