The Hobart girls’ basketball team achieved its first victory of the 2025–26 season with a 49–27 win against Boone Grove.
The non-conference game occurred on Saturday, November 8 at Boone Grove High School in Valparaiso, Indiana. The Brickies secured their win through a strong performance in the second half. After leading 15–12 at halftime, Hobart outscored Boone Grove by 34–15 in the last two quarters.
Head coach Ryan Gregory leading the way, the team showed balanced scoring and improved ball movement compared to their previous game. Gregory noted that the defense was effective in forcing turnovers throughout the match. Additionally, Hobart’s frontcourt managed to control rebounds, limiting Boone Grove’s second-chance opportunities. This victory brings Hobart’s record to 1–1 and provides momentum for upcoming non-conference games.
Hobart is scheduled to play against River Forest on Saturday, November 22, with tipoff set for 2:30 p.m.
