Hobart dropped a 77–35 decision to Chesterton in a varsity girls basketball nonconference matchup.
The game took place Dec. 23, 2025, at Chesterton High School.
Hobart faced early pressure as Chesterton built a sizable lead in the opening half and maintained control throughout the contest. The Brickies worked to settle into their offensive sets and rotate defensively but were unable to slow Chesterton’s pace. Despite the score, Hobart continued to compete across all four quarters while gaining valuable experience against a strong opponent.
Kurah Krucina led Hobart with 12 points, attacking off the dribble and finishing efficiently at the free-throw line. S. Stankich added six points while providing physical play in the paint, and Aalliah Otero contributed five points and five rebounds. Riley Weber scored four points and helped control the glass, while Liliana Lopez, Alexis Coons, and Taryn Babcock each added three points. Zaria Gildon, Grace Meagher, Ella Lopez, and Chesnie Unland all saw minutes as Hobart rotated its lineup.
Hobart will look to respond when it travels to face Lowell on Jan. 15 for a 7 p.m. conference matchup.
The previous meeting between Hobart and Lowell came Jan. 16, when Hobart fell 37–26 at home.
