Hobart’s girls’ varsity soccer team demonstrated their offensive capabilities in a non-conference home match, defeating Griffith with a decisive score of 10-3.
Hobart started strongly by scoring four goals in the first half, establishing a 4-0 lead. Although Griffith responded with three goals in the second half, Hobart maintained their momentum by adding six more goals to secure the victory.
Key performances came from Kurah Krucina, who scored five goals and provided one assist, and Rylee Christman, who contributed two goals and two assists. Freshman Sophie Harris and sophomore Addy Hendricks also found the back of the net, with Harris assisting twice.
Defensively, Hobart conceded three goals; however, their offensive prowess was evident as both starters and reserves applied consistent pressure throughout the game. The team displayed balanced contributions across its roster, with multiple players logging significant minutes on the field.
The victory not only improved Hobart’s average number of goals scored but also highlighted their ability to dominate possession early in the game while effectively managing periods of opposition momentum. Despite Griffith’s moments of success, Hobart’s depth proved to be a decisive factor.
