Hobart powered its way to a 13–8 home win over Tri‑County on Thursday, May 14, using a late offensive surge to pull away in a high‑scoring non‑conference matchup.

The Brickies struck early with two runs in the first inning and kept applying pressure throughout a game that featured 15 total hits from the Hobart lineup.

The Brickies’ offense showed balance and depth, with Riley Weber leading the charge by going 3‑for‑4 with four RBIs, including a double that helped spark Hobart’s middle‑inning push. Nora Hornak added two hits and scored three times, while Addi Gaffin crossed the plate three times as well, giving Hobart consistent traffic on the bases. Alexis Coons and Aurora Ciesielski each drove in two runs, and Alexis Turley chipped in a hit and two runs scored as Hobart built momentum with a four‑run fifth inning followed by a five‑run sixth.

On the bases, Hobart’s aggressiveness paid off, highlighted by five total stolen bases, including three from Hornak. Defensively, the Brickies were steady, posting a .917 fielding percentage with clean work from Weber, Turley, Gaffin, and others. In the circle, Allie Snider, Ciesielski, and Emma McIntire combined for seven innings, allowing eight runs while striking out four.

Hobart’s late‑game surge ultimately sealed a confident, well‑rounded win.
