The Hobart Brickies overcame an early deficit to defeat Hanover Central 42–23 on Friday, October 3, improving their season record to 5-2.
The game took place at Hobart High School, where the Brickies managed to recover from a slow start and gradually built their lead against the visiting Wildcats. Hanover Central initially took the lead with a 35-yard passing touchdown by Isaiah Buikema to Jacob Ferko. However, Hobart responded in the second quarter with two rushing touchdowns by Aleks Tatum, securing a 13–9 halftime advantage.
In the second half, Nathan Sobczynski contributed significantly with a pick-six and a successful two-point conversion, extending Hobart’s lead. The Brickies maintained dominance throughout the third and fourth quarters with strong rushing performances from Miles White and Tatum. Key defensive plays, including interceptions by Sobczynski and Bryce Tolliver, thwarted Hanover Central’s efforts to narrow the score gap.
