The Hobart Brickies girls’ soccer team concluded a strong 2025 season with a 12-5 record and a 4-2 standing in the Northwest Crossroads Conference, securing third place in a competitive field.
According to the team’s performance records, after an initial 4-1 road loss to Munster, the Brickies rebounded by winning three of their next four matches. This included a 9-0 victory over Michigan City and a 10-3 win against Griffith, demonstrating their offensive capabilities. A 3-0 shutout of Andrean highlighted their improving defensive organization.
Throughout September, Hobart maintained dominance with key conference and non-conference victories over Lowell (4-1), Hanover Central (0-0 draw), and Kankakee Valley (3-0). The team was noted for its dynamic attack, scoring 74 goals while limiting opponents to just 16. The Brickies also achieved several shutouts, including a decisive 6-0 win against Highland and a 9-0 victory over Merrillville towards the end of the season.
Despite finishing the regular season strongly, Hobart’s playoff journey ended in the Class 3A sectional with a 4-0 defeat to Chesterton. Nonetheless, their consistency and ability to control possession throughout the season established them as one of Northwest Indiana’s leading programs.
The campaign was characterized by offensive creativity, defensive composure, and a balanced roster that combined veteran leadership with emerging young talent. With much of their core expected to return next season, Hobart is poised for another significant postseason effort.
Looking ahead, the Brickies will focus on player development during the offseason while building on the momentum from one of their most complete seasons in recent years.
