Jordan Johnson and Zabia Gildon helped lead Hobart to a strong Northwest Crossroads Conference victory, as the Brickies defeated Highland 60-44 behind a balanced team effort on their home floor.

The conference matchup was played at Hobart High School in Hobart, Indiana, where the Brickies hosted the Trojans in late-season action.

Hobart gained momentum early, taking a 15-11 lead after the opening quarter before delivering a decisive second period. The Brickies outscored Highland 17-4 in the second quarter to build a 32-15 halftime advantage, using defensive pressure and efficient offensive possessions to control the pace. Senior guards Johnson and Gildon helped manage tempo throughout the game, while Erik Kingery and Ryan Basham added support on the perimeter. Malachi Johnson and Jeffery Long contributed to Hobart’s defensive presence and rebounding effort as the Brickies maintained separation through the second half.

Junior contributors Paxson Hicko and Stephen Miller also played key roles, providing energy and support as Hobart matched Highland’s second-half scoring push.

The Brickies continued preparing for postseason competition following the conference win as the regular season schedule moved toward sectional tournament play.
