The Morgan Township Cherokees secured a 51-46 victory over the Hobart Brickies in a girls varsity basketball non-conference game.
The match took place on December 16 at Morgan Township High School. According to reports, Morgan Township capitalized on a strong first half to gain momentum and managed to fend off a late surge from Hobart. Saffy Thompson-Woods led the Cherokees throughout the season. Hobart’s efforts were driven by Kurah Krucina and Riley Weber, but they ultimately fell short in the final minutes.
Hobart is scheduled to play against Chesterton in another non-conference matchup on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. The last encounter between Hobart and Chesterton resulted in a decisive win for the Trojans, who defeated the Brickies 63–21 in a non-conference game on January 14, 2025.
