Senior running back Max Pickett characterizes his playing style as straightforward and robust.
“I think I’m best at running at someone,” Pickett said. “I can juke if I need to, but I’d rather put my shoulder down. That’s my style.” According to Pickett, his personal goals align with Hobart’s team standards. “For me, my goal is to be the leading rusher in the NCC,” he said. “My dad was a great player back in the day, and I want to leave my legacy. I want to be great like him.”
Head coach Eric Schreiber commented on Pickett’s dedication during the offseason. “Our kids started in November, right after the season ended,” Schreiber said. “They’re hungry and ready, and guys like Max are leading the way.” Pickett also expressed the team’s ambition to achieve success in their conference. “We haven’t won the NCC in a while,” he said. “Doing that this year would mean a lot for our team and our school.”
