The Portage Indians achieved a 56–40 victory over the Hobart Brickies in a varsity girls basketball game. The match was held on December 2 at Portage High School.
According to reports, Portage took control of the game with a dominant third quarter, outscoring Hobart 26–5. This performance broke open what had been a competitive first half. Hobart trailed by just four points after the opening frame, and their 14-point second quarter kept them within reach at halftime. Despite a strong 14-point fourth-quarter effort from Hobart, Portage’s earlier surge was decisive in securing the win.
Looking ahead, Hobart is set to travel to Merrillville for a conference matchup against Andrean on Saturday, December 6. In their last meeting on December 21, 2024, the Brickies were defeated by Andrean with a score of 54–30 in a conference matchup.
